HILLCLIMBS

Sprints and hillclimbs involve competitors pitting their skills against the clock on challenging courses, in cars ranging from standard production, home made Specials to ex-Formula 1.

Pure speed and handling along tracks narrower than most country lanes and close proximity to officials and spectators makes for a very exciting event.

These are the sort of event that you can really feel part of, chat to the competitors and are an excellent way to get into the sport.

The Club is, of course, registered with the Motor Sports Association, which governs all UK Motor Sport, and is also a member of the Association of South West Motor Clubs (ASWMC). We have a close working relationship with the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club and the SW Centre of the MG Car Club. We meet the 1st Tuesday of every month at the Hambrook Sports Club, Hambrook Common, from 8.30pm

Geographic Area: Central Southern, National
Primary Association: ACSMC
A national club that operates across a high percentage of the countries race circuits and a selection of hillclimbs and sprints circuits. Without marshals, no BARC motorsport event could take place. It is as simple as that! Every sporting event organised by the Club needs marshals, and all marshals, whatever they are doing, are serving a useful purpose and contributing to the success of the event and the smooth running of the organisation. Marshalling is of course one way in which the enthusiast can become actively involved, and contribute something to the sport.
